Voorheesville - R. Scott Pease, 52, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2015 after a long illenss. Born in Nyack, NY, he was the son of Elaine (Larder) May of Thornton, CO and the late Ronald Pease, Sr. Scott served and was honorably discharged from the United States Navy during Granada. He served aboard the USS Ranger and was stationed on the island of Diago Garcia. He worked for NY Telephone, Verizon from 1987 until he retired on December 31, 2012. Scott was lucky enough to be a part of many families. He was a part of th e Verizon Family, Smitty’s Family, Voorheesville Rod and Gun Club Family and most especially his Voorheesville American Legion Post # 1493 Family. He is survived by his wife, Robin Hull-Pease; children, Cassandra and Sierra Pease of Voorheesville and Dorothea Medina of Menands; grandchildren, Gabriela, Delia and Joel; sister, Evelyn Thornton (Frank) of Thornton, CO; brothers, Ronald F. Pease of Berne and Robert Pease (Marla) of Palmyra. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, greatnieces and greatnephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Colonie. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
