Voorheesville - Thomas P. Talbot, 86, of Appleblossom Lane died Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center in Albany. Born in Troy, Thomas was a graduate of Catholic Central High School and Siena College. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1946 to 1948. He had lived in Voorheesville since 1961. For 37 years, Thomas worked for the New York State Comptrollers Office and retired in 1987 as a Head Account Clerk. He was a longtime communicant of St. Matthew’s Church in Voorheesville. Also, he was an avid New York Yankees and New York Giants fan. Thomas always enjoyed being outdoors, especially in the summer enjoying his deck in the sun. Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Phyllis Willsie Talbot. He was the brother of Joseph F. Talbot, Jr., Mary Talbot Peer and Patrick Talbot; brother-in-law of Shirley Talbot and Glen Willsie (Shirley). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at St. Matthew’s Church, Mountainview St., Voorheesville, NY 12186. Friends may also call at the church, prior to the mass from 9:30 to 10:30 on Wednesday. Burial will be in the spring in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Berne. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Matthew’s Church.
