Obituary of Thomas LaDuke

New Scotland - Thomas LaDuke, 71 passed away Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. Born in Black Brook, NY, Thomas was an avid outdoorsman, fisherman and hunter. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local #106 and worked for many years at Callanan Industries in South Bethlehem. Thomas will be remembered for his quick wit and humor by all who knew him. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Gail Thew LaDuke as well as his parents, Myrtle and Peter LaDuke. Thomas was the father Peter LaDuke of Guilderland, Scott LaDuke (Geraldine) of Glenmont, Stacy LaDuke of Berne; brother of Roy LaDuke of Colonie and the late Eugene LaDuke, Louis LaDuke, Belva Matott, Velma Tice, Nelson LaDuke, Robert LaDuke and Dale LaDuke; and grandfather of Thomas LaDuke of Westerlo, Emily LaDuke of Glenmont, Frankie and Nickie Palmeri of Berne; cousin and partner in crime of the late Winston Wright. He is also survived by his nephews, Ralph, Michael and Sean Tice of Guilderland in addition to several other nieces nephews and cousins. Friends are welcome to visit with Thomas' family on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Voorheesville. His family would like to extend their appreciation to New York Oncology Hematology, Community Hospice of Albany and the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's for the care given to Thomas. For those who wish, memorial contributions to the Center for the Disabled, 25 Velina Dr. Albany, NY 12203 would be appreciated.
